We aim to:
- maintain a professional network of Accelerated Literacy practitioners across Australia
- support quality assurance of Accelerated Literacy teaching and professional learning across Australia
- be a forum for practitioners to question, develop and share aspects of their AL teaching
- publish and disseminate resource materials and academic papers about the theory and practice of the AL pedagogy
- offer and support professional development in the AL pedagogy
- promote AL pedagogy in teacher education in Australian universities at undergraduate and post-graduate level
- promote insights gained from Accelerated Literacy pedagogy in teacher education nationally and internationally
- lobby for funds for ongoing research and development in scaffolding pedagogy.
