Accelerated Literacy Practitioners' Association Australia

Christmas greetings

Dear ALPAA members,

The growing number of ALPAA members, both schools and individuals, is evidence that scaffolded pedagogy has not lost its relevance. We hope that our fledgling association is helping to provide relevant professional development for educators through our online presence and our resources.
2015 brings exciting developments for ALPAA: Introduction to Accelerated Literacy is being offered face-to-face in the NT, SA, NSW and Queensland. In addition, state chapters are beginning to be established, offering face-to-face workshops in some jurisdictions (2015 PD calendar is available on our website).
The highlight of the year will be our first national conference to be held in Adelaide on 1st and 2nd October, 2015. Fliers were sent to all members in October. More information is available on our website. We look forward to many stimulating workshops and conversations, so please plan your holidays around these dates. (Adelaide in Spring is wonderful!)
Special thanks go to our ALPAA committee, all volunteers, who work to ensure that our offerings are relevant for your needs. If you have any feedback, you can email ALPAA direct, or talk to your local committee members (details on the website).
Have a refreshing break. We look forward to working with you in 2015.
